17-23 August 2020 Herron's Prayer Blog

The vision of the International Mission Board is to see a multitude from every language and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ

“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10c ESV)

The Konyanke are very joyful, friendly and hospitable people, but they don’t know the true JOY that comes from knowing Christ — eternal spiritual joy. There are around 233,000 Konyanke people in Ivory Coast and approximately 3,902,000 in the world. They are also found in seven other west African countries, and more than 12,000 in the United States. Islam is their outward religion of practice, though most still consider divination and casting spells a vital part of life.

  • Pray that God would send the Konyanke someone to tell them about the true, eternal joy they can have in Him.
  • Pray that God will raise up a remnant from the Konyanke people who will take it upon themselves to be the missionaries to the rest of their people in other countries.
  • Pray the Konyanke will make Jesus alone their Savior, putting away their traditional beliefs rather than adding Jesus to them.

Praise God for the Weeks of 10th—23rd August 2020
