Praise and Prayer Request for the Week 29th August —04th September     

Thank the Lord with the Herrons for the Past Week 22nd—28st August



(We Praise God For)
  • Praise God for traveling grace for the Herrons as they travel to Kyinda and around Jinja Town and Sonya’s travel to Nairobi Kenya during the past week 
  • We praise God for the Overnight of Worship, Praise and Preaching celebrating the ministry of one of our pastor, Pastor Tom, who is returning to Kenya with his family next month 
    • The new interim pastor who will be taking Pastor Tom’s position 
    • The Evangelistic Crusade conducted Thursday and Friday 
    • The people who came to receive Christ during the door-to-door evangelism and the Crusade Overnight Worship
  • How the Lord has cared for our family in Uganda and America
  • The continual spiritual growth we have seen among our island ministry team 
  • Our continual improvement in language learning Luganda  
Pray for the Herrons This Week
29th August —04th September

  • Our continual efforts to secure US VISA for Madison 
    • Pray that we will soon receive information concerning her immigration hearing 
    • Our need to travel to the US for this hearing
  • Sonya as she receive training in Nairobi, Kenya 
    • Her safety as she travel in and around Nairobi
    • The training, encouragement and challenges she is receiving   
    • Her return trip Thursday morning
  • Pray for Madison as she start Primary 1 (First Grade) at Horizon International School-Jinja on 29th September
  • Pray as James continue to prepare this week for two class he will be teaching at Uganda Baptist Seminary 6th –18th September
  • Pray for our family in the USA 
    • Our three sons and their family 
    • Our five grandchildren 
    • Our parents 
    • Our siblings and their families
  • Pray for the needed follow-up work in assisting our pastors/church leaders start new Bible Study Groups in their churches and also in their homes of members  
    • The Ugandan Children/Youth Ministry members who were trained to begin to applying what they learn in their respective village/islands 
    • Pray that the training results in new Bible Study Groups in the near future
  • Our commitment to language learning 
    • Our commitment to sharing Christ in Luganda this week 
    • Our witness to our Language teacher

Thank the Lord with the Herrons for the Past Week 15st—21st August



(We Praise God For)
  • Praise God for traveling grace for the Herrons as they travel to Kyinda and around Jinja Town and the islands of Lake Victoria during the past week 
  • We praise God for the three day Evangelistic Crusade Wednesday—Friday
    • The pastor and church leaders who were trained and encouraged to witnessing and discipleship making 
    • The thirty-seven (37) persons who came to receive Christ during the door-to-door evangelism and the Crusade Overnight Worship
  • The Association Evangelism Team organizing to ministering on a bi-monthly basis to assist our congregation in reaching the islands with the Gospel of Christ    
    • The work of our church leaders in developing an evangelism strategy to reaching their village/island
  • How the Lord has cared for our family in Uganda and America
  • The continual spiritual growth we have seen among our island ministry team 
  • Our continual improvement in language learning Luganda

  • We praise God for the planning of evangelism efforts to assist island congregations to reach the lost on their islands/villages 
  • How the Lord is caring for our family in America 
  • We thank God for the completed work done on our boat which was launched this past Saturday   
  • The desires and arrangements for our church leaders developed to assist church evangelize their village/island 
  • The continual spiritual growth we have seen among our island ministry team 
  • Our continual improvement in learning Luganda

    • Traveling to the landing site and traveling on the waters about eight hours 
    • The new interim pastor at Kiko Baptist Church 
    • Our pastors and Church leaders efforts to reaching our churches villages/islands with the Gospel through evangelism, Gospel crusades and new Bible classes to start next week
  • Pray for the follow-up work in assisting our pastors/church leaders start new Bible Study Groups in their churches and also in their homes of members

    • How the Lord is caring for our family in America 
    • We praise Him for our children and their families 
    • Our parents and siblings and relatives
  • We thank God for the completed work done on our boat which will be launched this week 
  • The desires and arrangements for our church leaders developed to assist church evangelize their village/island 
  • The continual spiritual growth we have seen among our island ministry team

  • Also praise God for caring for the Herrons as to Kyinda and around Jinja Town during the past week 
  • We praise God for the enthusiasm generated as a result of the teaching done to prepare our Ugandan friends to disciple and nature our island teachers 
  • We thank God for the work done to repair our boat  
  • The learning experience the participants received and the real experience they received as they applied the classroom knowledge in the community
