Where have you been?

We have been very busy since our return to Uganda 9th January 2018.

1.       16th-24th January—Medical Mission Team from Dorrisville, Illinois where:

a.       We traveled to four islands and four villages

b.       1029 persons received medical care 

c.       182 persons accepted Christ during the clinics

d.       We have started following-up and discipling these new believers

2.       24th January We transported the team to Entebbe for their return trip home and

3.       25th January we pick-up two Hands-On Africa college students, Emily and Ashton who will be with us until late May 2018

4.       1st-4th February we traveled to the islands with the students

5.       12th-16th February teaching at Uganda Baptist Seminary and making preparation for our 12th -18th Farming God’s Way mission team 

We are just getting adjusted to our return to Uganda and have not been able to do all the things we have planned, but we are getting there.  Thanks for your continued prayers.

Prayer Requests and Praise for February     

Thank the Lord with the Herron’s for the Past Month

(We Praise God For)


o   Our travel to the island traveling on the lake more than twenty hours. 

o   Our two trips to Kampala   

o   Travel around Jinja

·         We thank God for the Ugandan church leaders who have continue to minister to the people

·         We thank God for the two students from the USA who are part of our Ministry Team until late May

·         We thank God for the work that has been done in preparation for our Farming God’s Way mission team arriving this 12th March

o   The 186 who attended three Farming God’s Way Training Sessions last week

o   The two decisions for Christ during the training sessions

o   The opportunities to reach the community with the Gospel of Christ during the FGW training and follow-up

o   The supplies which we could secure in preparation for the team arrival in March  

·         We praise the Lord for providing and caring for our family in Uganda and in America

·         We thank God for His faithfulness and provisions in our lives

Pray for the Herron’s This Coming Week

26h February-4th March        

·         Pray for our preparation for Gardendale First Baptist Church Mission Team as they prepare to travel here later in March

o   Pray as we secure material for the team arrival this week

·         Pray for us as we travel to the islands this week to prepare for 2018 Island Bible School scheduled for the end of March

·         Pray for gutter and plumbing work that will start Wednesday at the compound

o   Pray for safety of the workers 

o   Pray that the work is done properly  

o   Pray for the spiritual group and development of our workers  

·         Continue to pray that our pastors and church leaders will implement the T4T Training in the churches as they reach people with the Gospel and disciple new believers  

o   Pray that we will see new Bible Study Groups emerge in the future from the training

·         Pray for our families in the USA

o   Our three sons and their families 

o   Our five grandchildren

o   The Sutton Family

o   The Dempsey Family

o   Our siblings and their families
