Praise for 08st–21st April 2019

Thank the Lord with the Herrons for the Past Two Weeks

We Praise God for:


o   We thank God for safety as we traveled around Jinja during the last two weeks

o   Island Visits from 14th—19th April

·         We thank God for the T4T Training conducted last week

o   The commitment from the 34 church leaders and pastors who were participants in this training

o   The vow from the participants to:

§  Be obedient and trust Christ more

§  Be a witness for Christ

§  Disciple new believers to love and be obedient to Christ and His commands

§  Start new discipleship small groups to disciple new believers and challenge maturing Christians

·         We thank God for our Island Leadership Team desire to faithfully serve Christ and the people of the islands

·         We thank the Lord for our Uganda and American families.

·         We thank God for His faithfulness, provisions and protection in our lives during the last two weeks


22nd—28th April 2019

·         Pray for our travel in the Uganda this week

o   Our travel in and around Jinja during this week

o   James travel to the islands on Sunday 28th April

o   Madison’s travel to and from school this week

·         Pray for the pastors and church leaders who will implement the T4T training they received last week.

o   Pray that these leaders are able to reach new believers and begin new discipleship classes with them very soon

o   Pray that the leaders will not become discouraged if things do not go as they plan

o   Pray that strong committed believers are the results of these new discipleship classes

·         Pray for scheduled island visit on 28th April—01st May.

o   Pray for our safe travel on the lake

o   Pray for possible new church planting possibilities on two new islands

·         Pray for our regional Leaders who will be searching for prospective leaders to mentor in each congregation  

·         Pray for our families in the USA

o   Our three sons and their families 

§  Continue to pray for our oldest son, Keith as he returned to his job last week.

§  Our youngest son, Jeremy and his family, as he complete studies at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas and prepare to move to Georgia in May

§  Sonya’s mother, Mary, who was hospitalized last week but has been released

o   Our five grandchildren

o   The Sutton Family

o   The Dempsey Family

o   Stribling/Herron Family   

o   Our siblings and their families

o   Sonya’s mother who continue her treated for cancer in Cleveland, Ohio

·         Pray for our language teacher that he may come to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior

Praise for 01st–07th April 2019
Thank the Lord with the Herrons for the Past Two Weeks
We Praise God for:


o   We thank God for safety as we traveled around Jinja

·         We thank God for the visit from Dr. Paul Chitwood, International Mission Board President with SSAP leadership, Daren Davis and Kevin Roger Thursday-Saturday. 

o   We thank God for the opportunities to hear from Dr. Chitwood and help him understand the work we are doing in Uganda.

o   We praise God in being able to demonstrate and see what we are doing to share the gospel to the peoples of Uganda.  

·         Thanks for your prayers for our oldest son, Keith, who has been able to return to work and has adjusted well on his job.

·         We thank the Lord for Jeremy and his family as they were able to find a new house in Georgia where he will be station in mid-May.

·         We thank God for His faithfulness, provisions and protection in our lives


08th—14th April 2019

·         Pray for our travel in the Uganda this week

o   Our travel in and around Jinja during this week

o   James travel to the islands on Sunday 14th April

o   Madison’s travel to and from school this week

·         Pray for the pastors and church leaders who will disciple new believers

o   Pray that these new believers will come to the meeting we are scheduling at each clinic sites to start the discipling process

·         Pray for scheduled T4T Training 14th—18th April.

o   Pray for the pastors and Church Leaders who will come from 14 churches and seven islands for this training

o   Pray for traveling grace and the health of the participants during their training time

o   Pray the results of the training will be an increase in T4T discipleship groups meeting Thursday and Friday

o   Pray that strong believers who are committed to Christ will be the results of this training

·         Pray for our regional Leaders who will be searching for prospective leaders to mentor in each congregation  

·         Pray for our families in the USA
