4-10 February Herron's Prayer Letter

James and Sonya Herron, IMB Missionaries

Uganda East Africa

Island Ministry team (Upper Buvuma Islands)

The vision of the International Mission Board is to see a multitude from every language, people, tribe and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ

18 So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18 HCSB)

Jesus is with you and for you.  You face nothing alone—nothing.  When feeling anxious, overwhelm by worry, know that you are focusing on the visible world and leaving Christ out of the picture.  The cure for this is to fix your eyes on Jesus.  Jesus will get you through this day and all of your days.  But we find him only in the present

28 We know that all things work together[ for the good[ of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose. 29 For those He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those He predestined, He also called; and those He called, He also justified; and those He justified, He also glorified. What then are we to say about these things?  If God is for us, who is against us?  (Romans 8:28-31 HCSB)
