Praise and Prayer Request for the Week of 01st-07th May



Five Reason to not be Afraid

32 Don’t be afraid, little flock, because your Father delights to give you the kingdom. (Luke 12:32)



1.       Not being afraid shows that we treasure God as our Shepherd. “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want…” 

2.       Not being afraid show that we treasure God as our Father.

3.       Not being afraid show that we treasure God as our King

4.       Not being afraid show how free and generous God is.

5.       Not being afraid show that we treasure God as joyful.    


Thank the Lord with the Herrons for the Past Week

(We Praise God For)
  • For traveling grace for the Herrons as they traveled this past week around Jinja Town 
  • We thank God for the additional rain we received this past week  
  • Praise God for Sonya work with starting a Women Bible Class 
  • We praise God for the work that has started on Kyinji Church 
    • The material that has been transported to the island to begin the work of building this church facility 
    • We thank God for providing the resources for the construction of this facility
  • I thank God for a time I had this week to continue to take care of administrative activities  
  • We thank God for Ugandan leaders who are working with alongside with us in reaching the islands with the Word of God 
  • We thank God for His presence as I taught two classes at Uganda Baptist Seminary the last three weeks 
  • We praise the Lord for caring for our family in Uganda and America 
  • We praise god for our continual improvement in learning Luganda  
Pray for the Herrons This Week
01st–07th May
  • Continue to pray for our efforts to secure US VISA for Madison (We are praying to hear from U.S. Immigration soon) 
    • Pray that we will not be required to travel to the US for the Immigration hearing
  • Because of the drought, which has resulted in an increase in the price of food, many people are unable to buy food for themselves and their families  
    • Pray for the Peoples of the Island of Lake Victoria who have been adversely affected by the droughts and resulting increase price in basic foods 
    • Pray for our pastors and our workers who are having a difficult time providing food for themselves and their families 
  • Pray for our efforts to introduction “Farming God’s Way” to the people of Pallissa Districts as a result of our involvement with the food relief project we are planning to go to Pallissa District in  May 
  • Pray for our family in the USA 
    • Our three sons and their families  
    • Our five grandchildren 
    • The Sutton Family 
    • Our siblings and their families 
  • Pray for our continual efforts to provide follow-up work in assisting our pastors/church leaders start new Bible Study Groups in their churches and also in their homes of members 
  • The Ugandan Children/Youth Ministry members who were trained to begin to applying what they learn in their respective village/islands and we see new Bible groups develop 
    • One child who were seen in clinic and need extensive medical follow-up care 
    • Pray for wisdom to find proper medical care for two children who have special medical needs
    • Pray that we are able to secure the necessary medical care for these children 
    • Pray as we hope to meet with the parents the week of 1st -3rd May 
  • Pray for the Island Bible School which resume 1st –5th May 
    • Pray for the students who will be there for a week leaving their families during this time of study 
    • Our pastors as we minister to them during this week 
    • The instructors that they will be able to teach properly the word of God and help the students learn and apply God’s Word to their lives and communicate these truths to their congregations 
  • Farming God’s Way spacing training this week 
    • Tuesday 2nd May at Kiruguma Baptist Church, Bwema Island 
    • Wednesday 3rd May at Bukwaya Baptist Church, Buziri Island
  • Our commitment to language learning 
    • Our commitment to sharing Christ in Luganda 
    • Our witness to our Language teacher

Praise and Prayer Request for the Week of 03rd-09th April



Thank the Lord with the Herrons for the Past Week

(We Praise God For)

It is a blessing we are able to speak with the creator of the universe.  The God who spoke all things into being.  We should live a life in close communion with God.  He welcomes our presence at His throne of grace.  We have been commended to “Pray continually.” I Thessalonians 5:17.  We should never allow anything to disrupt and distract us from our fellowship with God through Jesus Christ.   
  • For traveling grace for the Herrons as they travel this past week: 
    • To Kyinya Landing Site 
    • Traveling on Lake Victoria to Kyanja Church, Buziri Island 
    • Safely traveling 2 ½ hour on the Lake Victoria this week  
    • And safely traveling for the family around Jinja Town this week
  • We thank God for the additional rain we received this week after more than four months of no rain 
  • We praise God for the work that has started on Kyinji Church 
    • The material that has been transported to the island to begin the work of building this church facility 
    • We thank God for providing the resources for the construction of this facility
  • I thank God for a time I had this week to continue to take care of administrative activities
