Sihanaka of Madagascar
2025 Status Update
“In
their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so
they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.” (2 Corinthians
4:4 HCSB)
2025 Status Update
We’ve learned that a Malagasy Baptist
pastor has been working among the Sihanaka for decades. At one of his distant
outposts, a new church started in August of 2023. This pastor’s son and
daughter-in-law serve at a Baptist church that regularly conducts local and
long-distance outreach among the Sihanaka. We’ve also learned that a Sihanaka
man teaches at a seminary in Madagascar and leads trips to the Sihanaka area
for teaching, evangelism, and the encouragement of local churches.
Prayer Requests
- · Ask God to encourage the believers among
the Sihanaka.
- · Ask God to continue to open doors in new
parts of the Sihanaka region.
- · Pray for the completion of a Bible
translation in the Sihanaka language. It is almost finished.
