55 in 5 Status Update
Northern Teke of Gabon
2025 Status Update
“The times of ignorance
God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he
has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom
he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from
the dead.” (Acts 17:30-31)
Challenges We’ve Faced
Many
Teke churches in Gabon are teaching the good news of salvation in Christ. These
churches are active in evangelism and have planted new churches in unreached
places. God has been working here through Protestant missionaries for almost
100 years. However, false gospels and African Traditional Religion’s idol
worship remain serious obstacles to the healthy growth of the believers in
Gabon, and Teke in more remote areas still do not have access to the gospel.
How You Can Pray
· Praise God for how the Teke have come to
know the name of Christ.
· Ask God to raise up Teke people who will
lead and teach faithfully.
· Pray for the Teke to reach all their
villages with the gospel.
Praise God for His Faithfulness and Protection from
