21st-27 August Herron’s Prayer Blog

Island Ministry team (Upper Buvuma Islands)

The vision of the International Mission Board is to see a multitude from every language, people, tribe and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ

Prayer Requests and Praise for the Week of 14th-21st August

What is the Heart of God?  What is His greatest desire?  The beginning of the Lord’s Prayer gives us a vision of the Father’s Heart, Jesus said,

“Therefore, you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, Your name be honored as holy.  10 Your kingdom come.  Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  (Matthew 6:9-10, HCSB)

Jesus taught us to pray that our city, neighborhood, nation or people group will reflect his glory and reign that it is like heaven on earth.  God’s heart is that all people come to worship Him.  Do you think Jesus would ask us to pray for something that He doesn’t intend to fulfill?  God is not satisfied with a handful of believers, small groups or churches in a people group.  His vision is a multitude of people worshipping Him from every people group.

After this I looked, and there was a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language, which no one could number, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were robed in white with palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: Salvation belongs to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!

This is the Father’s desire to have a multitude of worshipper worshiping and serving our Great God.  This should be our desire also.  Our Father’s heart should be our heart also.

What is your greatest desire?
