We Thank the Lord for
Previous Blessings:
- Traveling grace as the Herrons traveled to around Jinja
Town Uganda, and the islands since our last prayer blog
- Sonya counseling ministry in Jinja and her ministry at a local Primary School and the Jinja Women Prison
- The planting of a new church on Malija Island, Wabuziba Village.
- Praise God for the five (5) new believers who accepted Christ during the church’s first worship service
- We praise God for the fifteen (15) committed believers who became members of Wabuziba Baptist Church on 20th September 2015.
- We are also thankful to God for the two churches, Muti-Omu Baptist Church and Lwazzi Baptist Church from Bwema Island that cooperated together to initiate the church planting process.
- We praise god for our court hearing on Wednesday 23rd September. A final decision will be made on 15th October
- For the ten (10) pastors and church leaders who attended the Bible School on 21st-25th September
- We also praise god for the three opportunities we had to show the Jesus Film to more than 150 persons as we cultivate and make ready for many to make decisions for Christ
- We praise God for His protection and provision for us and
the island ministry
Pray for the Herrons
This Week
- Pray for the Herrons as they prepare for a visit from Pastor Dewayne Taylor, Dorrisville Baptist Church, Dorrisville, Illinois
- Pray for safe travel as he leave 5th October with arrival the following day
- Pray for our island visits, we will be on the islands four days
- Pray for the teaching, training, discipling and counseling he will do during his visit
- Pray for his family and congregation we will be leaving at home
- Pray for the Herrons as they minister to the peoples of the Islands of Lake Victoria
- Pray that God will give them faith, wisdom and courage as they minister to the peoples of the islands
- Pray for God’s protection and their safety as the travel the waters of Lake Victoria
- Pray that God give them boldness to rightly proclaim the Word of God
- Pray that God’s provision for the pastors/church leaders as they minister in difficult situations on the islands
- Pray for their family’s needs
- Strength in strong faith to be patient and wait on the Lard and not trust God but take things in their own hands
- Pray for these pastors and church leaders as they equip themselves to reaching the lost, discipling new believers and planting indigenous island churches.
- Mentoring, encouragement and training of island Pastors in discipling the 234 persons who received Christ during the Medical Mission
- Pray for our continual language learning
- Our commitment to sharing Christ in Luganda this week
- Our witness to our Language teacher
