Borgu Fulbe of Togo

2025 Status Update

“The Lord has made known his salvation; he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations.” (Psalm 98:2 ESV)

Some Borgu Fulbe families are responding to Bible stories, especially the stories of Abraham and Joseph. One family has listened to all the recordings of Bible stories an African believer gave them. It’s challenging, however, that the African believer doesn’t speak the Borgu Fulbe’s heart language. But they say God speaks to them in their dreams.

Prayer Requests

  • ·       Ask God to raise up leaders among the Borgu Fulbe who can make disciples in their heart language.
  • ·       Ask God to continue to reveal Himself to the Borgu Fulbe.
  • ·       Ask God to open the hearts of the Borgu Fulbe to the gospel.

Northern Teke of Gabon

2025 Status Update

“The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.” (Acts 17:30-31)

2025 Status Update

Many Teke churches in Gabon are teaching the good news of salvation in Christ. These churches are active in evangelism and have planted new churches in unreached places. God has been working here through Protestant missionaries for almost 100 years. However, false gospels and African Traditional Religion’s idol worship remain serious obstacles to the healthy growth of the believers in Gabon, and Teke in more remote areas still do not have access to the gospel.

Prayer Requests

  • ·       Praise God for how the Teke have come to know the name of Christ.
  • Ask God to raise up Teke people who will lead and teach faithfully.
  • Pray for the Teke to reach all their villages with the gospel.

Zande of South Sudan

2025 Status Update

“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” (1 Timothy 1:15 NIV)

2025 Status Update

We’ve discovered that the 860,000 Zande in South Sudan—farmers who practice a mix of African Traditional Religion and Christianity—are engaged by thriving Episcopal churches and other evangelical partners. Local partners are evangelizing, making disciples, and training leaders. The full Bible has been available in their language since 2007. The Zande can also access God’s Word through audio recordings and the Jesus Film.

Prayer Requests

  • ·       Thank God for the churches that are working among the Zande.
  • ·       Ask God to reveal the lies of African Traditional Religion and turn people’s hearts toward him.
  • ·       Pray for solid biblical discipleship throughout this people group.
