Zigua of Tanzania
2025 Status Update
“For although they knew God, they neither
glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile
and their foolish hearts were darkened.” (Romans 1:21)
For generations, the Zigua have practiced
Islam. Missionary efforts have yielded little fruit among this hard-to-reach
people group, but God has begun to answer our prayers. Pastors from a
neighboring people group, the Maasai, lead churches in the Zigua region. The
Maasai pastors have now been trained in evangelism strategies for reaching
Muslims, and they have a passion for proclaiming the gospel among the Zigua.
Prayer Requests
· Pray that the Maasai believers will faithfully share the gospel with their Muslim Zigua neighbors. · Ask the Lord to soften the hearts of the Zigua to respond to the good news.
· Ask the Lord to raise up more workers to
engage the Zigua.
