The vision of the International

“Your
heart must not be troubled. Believe[a] in God; believe also in Me. 2 In
My
Father’s
house are many dwelling places; if not, I would have told you. I am going
away to
prepare a place for you. 3 If I go away and prepare a place for you,
I will
come back
and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also. John 14:1-3 (HCSB)
In reading these verses
I was reminded that in chapter 12, Jesus predicts His death on the cross; in
chapter 13 he predicts his betrayal and the denial of his most faithful
disciple. After all those bad reports,
in chapter 14 He gives a reason to smile.
Jesus commanded His disciples to not have a troubled heart because as
they believe in God they also believe in Him.
In these verses Jesus gives three reasons for us to smile:
1. Jesus said, “I am
going to prepare a place for you”.
Can you imagine what this place look like that Jesus is preparing for
his disciples? Nothing on earth can
compare what the place He is preparing fr us.
There is no sub-contractor attempting to cut cost for a greater profit
or a lack of adequate building material.
This is a place prepared for us by Jesus Himself.
2. He also said, “… I
will come back and receive you to Myself…” This should make us smile knowing that Jesus
in coming back for us His Body, His Disciples, His Church. Jesus comforted His disciple He would
return. And,
3. “…So where I am you may be also.”
Jesus desires to be near us. He loves us so much until He gave His life in our
place. He died paying the price for our sins.
He desires to be near us. This should bring a smile on our face to know that
Jesus want to be near us.
What should we do with this
knowledge? We should share with a lost world
the message of salvation offered by our Savior, and point them to the one who have
eternal life. This message can put a smile
of the face of the dejected, depressed and down trodden.

o Team trip to Kampala for movie, lunch and shopping
o Our travel in and around Jinja

We give thanks God
for the Ugandan pastors and church leaders who all contribute in ministering to
the Peoples of the Islands
·
We thank God for the
two college students from the USA who are part of our Ministry Team until late
May
·
For the prospective
students for the Island Bible School scheduled to start 26th March
·
We praise the Lord
for providing and caring for our family in Uganda and in America
·
We thank God for His
faithfulness and provisions in our lives
Pray for
the Herron’s This Coming Week

Pray for the Island
Bible School which will start with the arrival of the students Sunday 25th
until Friday 23rd March

Pray for the students
as they leave their families and job for the week of study
o
Pray they have the
school fees
o
Pray that the
students are prepared to learn and apply what they learn to practice in their
field of service
o
Pray for me as I
teach the Book of Mark this month and April
o
Pray for the Hands-On-Students
as they assist in teaching T4T to the Church Leaders this week

Pray for the
spiritual growth and development of our compound workers
·
Continue to pray that
our pastors and church leaders will implement the T4T Training in the churches
as they reach people with the Gospel and disciple new believers
o
Pray that we will see
new Bible Study Groups emerge in the future from the training
·
Pray for our
families in the USA

Our three sons and
their families
o
Our five
grandchildren
o
