“The Lord does
not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not
wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9 HCSB)
The Antefasy, whose
name means “those who live in the sands,” live in the southeastern coastal
region of Madagascar. They number 177,000. The primary religion practiced by
the Antefasy is African traditional religion. Many Antefasy claim to be
Christians but do not truly understand the gospel, nor have they claimed
freedom from the ways of their ancestors. They are a people open to Scripture
and surprised by the true teachings found within.
Pray
Pray for Bible teachers to engage the Antefasy area and show them truth from God’s Word.
Pray for the revelation of biblical teachings that combat enslaving cultural beliefs
Pray for evangelical churches to be planted and thrive in this area.
