Suba of Tanzania
2025 Status Update
“It is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life so that he may learn to revere the Lord his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees.” (Deuteronomy 17:19 NIV)
The Suba are spread across Kenya and Tanzania. Their exposure to the gospel in these two countries has been vastly different. The Suba of Kenya, who gather in healthy, growing churches, went to research the Suba of Tanzania. They found some churches and believers in Tanzania, but most Suba practice a mixture of the prosperity gospel and African Traditional Religion. The need for more gospel proclamation and church planting among the Suba in Tanzania is great.
- Ask God to send Suba believers from Kenya to the Suba in Tanzania.
- Pray for the few Suba believers to grow in their faith and witness.
- Ask God to plant more churches among the Suba in Tanzania.
