Island Ministry team (Upper Buvuma Islands)  

The vision of the International Mission Board is to see a multitude from every language, people, tribe and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ

 Prayer Praise for the Week 27^th August—02^rd September

Thank the Lord for:

Traveling grace as the Herrons traveled to and from Nairobi, Kenya; Entebbe, Kampala, and the       islands, and around Jinja Town Uganda

  The successful ministry of two mission teams: 

1.      Greenwood Baptist Church, Thomasville, North Carolina

·          The team spend three days on the islands teaching biblical doctrine, evangelism and Children Ministry

·         Their ministry on the mainland Kibizza and Kinja

·         The twenty-three decisions for Christ

·         Encouragement and training of the pastors and church leaders

·         The team safe travel on the island and mainland

·         The team safe return home

2.      First Baptist Church O’Fallon, O’Fallon, Illinois

·         Mobil Medical clinics

a.       Six clinics on four different islands (five villages)

b.      One clinic on the mainland

c.       Over 1200 patients treated

·         Evangelism

a.       Eight national pastors preaching the Gospel of Christ during clinic

b.      Personally witnessing to patients

c.       Hut-to-Hut evangelism in each villages

d.      Discipleship and mentoring of two church planters

e.       Two-Hundred Thirty Four (234) decisions for Jesus

f.       The immediately discipling of the new believers

·         Children Ministry

·         Discipleship Training:  mentoring two young church planters and leading discipleship training for island pastors and church leaders  

  The cooperation of ministry leadership in ministering and growing disciples for Christ

  Court hearing for Madison in mid-September   

          God protection and provision for us and the island ministry 

 

Pray for the Herrons This Week

   Pray that God provide for the pastors/church leaders tuitions and their families during the week of schooling. 

• Pray for these pastors and church leaders as they equip themselves to reaching the lost, discipling new believers and planting indigenous island churches.   
• Pray for the Herrons as they minister to the peoples of the Islands of Lake Victoria 
• Mentoring, encouragement and training of island Pastors in discipling the 234 persons  who received Christ during the Medical Mission
• Pray for our continual language learning  
• Our commitment to sharing Christ in Luganda this week
• The witness to our Language teacher
