Praise and Prayer Request for the Week 25th April—01st May     

Thank the Lord with the Herrons for the Past Week 18th –24th April



(Praise God for)


  • Traveling grace as the Herrons traveled to on the waters of Lake Victoria and around Jinja Town Uganda the past week
  • Praise God for Kiko Church which was damaged and the work they have done to restore the church 
  • Thank God for the six pastors/Church Leaders from Upper Buvuma Island Baptist Ministry who graduated from UBS sponsored Bible School on Saturday 
  • Praise God for safety traveling more than eight (8) hours 8 hours on the lake
    • Praise God for keeping the Herrons as they traveled over four hours g on the roads to and from the landing site and around Jinja town
  • The three regional Discipleship Training conducted the past week 
    • There where over 95 persons were trained 
    • The people appeared to have a better understanding and commitment to learning and applying what they have learned into practice.   
    • The churches in Regional I organizing themselves for evangelism, discipleship and church planting on Buguya Island 
    • The showing of the Jesus Film on Kyanja 
    • Commitment on the part of our church leaders to prepare the congregations to discipling new believers 
  • The continual spiritual growth and cooperative from our associated congregations 
  • The utilization of discipleship training on the islands



Pray for the Herrons This Week

25th—01stMay  


  • Our continual efforts to secure US VISA for Madison 
  • Pray for site visit on Bweema-Sub County, Buvuma Island and Bugaya Sub-County for medical and ministry possibilities Monday—Wednesday (25th-27th  April) 
  • Pray for Uganda Baptist Seminary as they complete this term Saturday  
    • Pray for the students as they return home to apply what they have learned to their ministry field 
    • Pray for God’s provision for the students who have left wives and children as the study at UBS for this month   
    • Pray for the students as they learn and proclaim Christ throughout East Africa 
  • Continue to pray for the pastor and congregation of Kiko Baptist Church which suffered damage to their facilities after a strong storm last month
  • Pray we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit direction how we as a ministry can assist this congregation in their time of need
  • The implementation of ministry plans for 2016
  • Mission teams we will have in May
    • Our preparation to receive the teams 
    • Pray for the Ugandans who will be exposed to the Gospel as a results of our teams from America 
    • Pray that many will receive Jesus as Lord and Savior 
    • Pray that a number of small group bible Studies will results of our mission teams (We would love to see at least five new groups from our teams in May)
  • Traveling grace as we travel to around Jinja and on the islands this week  
  • Pray for our continual language learning  
    • Our commitment to sharing Christ in Luganda this week 
    • Our witness to our Language teacher

11-17 April 2016 Prayer/Praise Blog

Praise and Prayer Request for the Week 11th—17th April     
Thank the Lord with the Herrons for the Past Week 04th— 10th April

 (We Praise God for)


  • Collaborative work with Medical Missionary in bringing the Gospel and medical care to the Upper Buvuma Islands*
  • Work done in connection with upcoming mission teams 
    • Securing resources to obtain Tools and Seed for Island Team coming early June 
    • Developing a budget and itinerary, and discussing with team leader for team in late June early July   
  • The continual spiritual growth and cooperative from our associated congregations 
  • The completed construction work to our island house (fence construction) 
  • The utilization of discipleship training on the islands 
  • The positive responses with local officials to introduce a missionary physician for ministry on the islands after meeting with Buvuma Island District Leadership this past week 
  • Traveling grace as the Herrons traveled around Jinja Town Uganda the past week

Pray for the Herrons This Week
11th—17 April 2016
  • Our continual efforts to secure US VISA for Madison 
  • Pray for Uganda Baptist Seminary as they continue this term   
    • Pray for the leadership as many complicated decisions has to be made 
    • Pray for the students as they learn and are used for Christ throughout East Africa 
  • Continue to pray for the pastor and congregation of Kiko Baptist Church which suffered damage to their facilities after a strong storm 
    • The Pastor’s wife suffered medical problems 
    • How we can assist in providing assistance to this congregation in their time of need
  • Implementation of ministry plans for 2016
    • Implementation of plans for mission teams this year 
    • Implementation strategies resulting in  involving more Christians in discipling and evangelism   
  • Traveling grace as we travel to around Jinja and on the islands this week  
  • James traveling to Kyanda Landing Site Tuesday and Saturday
  •   Pray for our continual language learning  
    • Our commitment to sharing Christ in Luganda this week 
    • Our witness to our Language teacher

Prayer Praise Letter 04-10 April

Praise and Prayer Request for the Week 04th—10th April     
Thank the Lord with the Herrons for the Past Week 27th March—03rd April
(Praise God for)
  • Traveling grace as the Herrons traveled to Kampala and around Jinja Town Uganda the last week 
    • Travel to the islands spending over 8 hours on the lake and four hours traveling on the road to and from the landing site
  • The three regional Discipleship Training conducted the past week 
    • There where over 80 persons were trained 
    • The people appeared to have a better understanding and commitment to learning and doing 
    • The showing of the Jesus Film where six (6) persons accepted Christ as Lord and Savior 
    • Commitment on the part of our church leaders to prepare the congregations to discipling new believers  
  • The continual spiritual growth and cooperative from our associated congregations 
  • The construction work to our island house (fence construction) 
  • The utilization of discipleship training on the islands 
  • The positive responses with local officials to introduce a missionary physician for ministry on the islands after meeting with Buvuma Island District Leadership this past week
